GEOG 1010
People, Places and Landscape: Introducing Human Geography

Earth

I took GEOG 1010 as one of my elective courses. However, what I studied in this course was eye-opening. The area of knowledge from the program expanded my horizons on how and why culture is differently formed. The landscape and climate are the elements that make people create their lifestyles. Besides, I have known that people invented many new technologies to conquer the world. For example, Google Maps is one of those technological advancements. The functions provide ways for users to see and locate many places in the world, even the places that people cannot get in. Furthermore, the mobility of people contributes to the diversity of countries around the world. After this class, I have a deep impression of good things are happening every day regardless of people, land, culture, and life.

IBUS 3510: International Business

There were a lot of political topics covered in this course. It sounds a bit harsh to know and learn about politics. I have widened my knowledge related to what is happening to the world. Many of my questions have been answered throughout the course. The question about why China could become the top rich country has its answer. Since I knew more about the government of China and their growth- mindset to develop their country after the war. During the course, I also learned about Intercultural communication from a guest speaker. Hence, I could understand the concepts of different communication styles from diverse countries. IBUS 3510 is one of the useful courses for business or cross-cultural commercials.
