Why do I love travelling?

I travel to grow up

It would be difficult to directly see the world without traveling. Many people might not recognize how traveling supports an individual growing up.  I also tell myself that it is good to have skills. But the skills would be useless without practice. And I traveled to apply what I knew before in real situations.

I enjoyed knowing and asking more questions about the cultural differences. These trips stimulated my curiosity about how people from different countries have different behavior. Then, I felt respect towards new countries when I have the opportunity to interact with their culture. Moreover, I adjusted my manner to adapt to new cultural concepts. I also have an interesting feeling to keep study about people, countries, and cultures.

During my time at Ho Chi Minh University of Economics and Finance, I participated in field trips to Thailand and South Korea. These trips not only focused on academic learning but also created chances for students to experience cultural specificity.

Both my trip to Thailand and South Korea have broadened my horizon. My trip to Thailand was for a Critical Thinking class organized by the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce. Besides, I flew to Korea in the exchange program of Solbridge International School of Business in Daejeon, South Korea. I learned through many cultural exchange activities. Specifically, I could try the traditional dishes, wear traditional clothes, visit famous historical places and learn several words for communicating.

Different countries, different lifestyles, different cultures bring various knowledge to me. The factor that attracted me most is how culture influences people's lifestyles. For example, Thai people have a greeting gesture called "wai"- a prayer-like gesture to show respect to other people. Or bowing is the most common greeting way in Korea. I would never know this cultural uniqueness if I was afraid of traveling.
